HOW MUCH IS THE GRANT
Up to €2100 of SEAI Grants Available for domestic installations
The grant amount depends on the peak output of your solar installation. Peak output is measure in KWP, which is kilowatt-peak.
€800 per KWP for up to 2KWP
€250 for every additional KWP up to 4KWP
- €800 for 1kWp
- €1,600 for 2kWp
- €1,850 for 3kWp
- €2,100 for 4kWp
SEAI SOLAR PV GRANT APPLICATION
MMK can take the hassle out of your grant application by arranging the paperwork for you and liaising directly with the SEAI on your behalf.
WHAT YOU WILL REQUIRE BEFORE APPLYING:
MPRN number which is a 11-digit number on the top of your electricity bill
The year your house was build, this must be prior to 31st December 2020 to qualify
Your BER number and rating post PV installation
(STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS)
To arrange the grant directly you will need to complete the following:

- Firstly you will need to register with SEAI – Go to https://mgen.seai.ie/Account/Login/Register
- Enter your user type whether domestic or non-domestic
- Register by entering your email address and create a password for your SEAI account – click register
- Follow instructions sent to you email
- Create a claim by logging into the SEAI claims portal website https://mgen.seai.ie/ , under applications click on the ‘create a new claim’

Submit a claim
- Enter your MPRN and submit a claim
- Check ‘Solar PV’ box and enter details for the ‘applicant system size’
- Enter the ‘BER number’ and ‘BER rating’
- Enter your address and the year your house was built
- Use the search icon to choose a company, select MMK
- After you’ve submitted your payment details click ‘submit claim’
- You should receive a confirmation email and the status of your application will appear in your claims portal under ‘my applications’
